Upcoming Event--Spring Music Fair
As a special “thank you” to everyone who’s supported the Lincolnville Farmers Market, we’re having a special freeLincolnville Spring Music Fair, Sunday, May 20, starting at 11AM! Legendary bluesman Willie Green will be our headliner, plus you’ll hear non-stop music from Aslyn & the Naysayers; the Geezers; Collapsible B; the Blue Smoke Band and a jam session with Willie Green, Rick Levy and the Blue Smoke Band.
We’ll have more vendors, lots of Arts & Crafts, activities for kids and of course our regular free parking, playground, etc. Bring a blanket or fold-up chair to listen on the lawn.
Old Town Trolley Tours will be donating free roundtrip rides to the Fair from the Old Jail every hour-on-the-hour between 11AM and 4PM.
Also, as a part of the weekend festivities, on Friday evening May 18 there will be a special event at SSJ Stained Glass studio starting at 5 PM. Freedom Rider JT Johnson and local glass artist Sister Diane Couture will be hosting a special event entitled "Celebrating Connections". JT will speak about the St. Augustine connections to Civil Rights movement in conjunction with Sister Diane's gallery show and silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will support the outreach ministries of the Sisters of St. Joseph, who have been working in the Lincolnville community since the 19th century!

Congratulations to Sister Diane Couture, who was one of the winners of the 2012 ROWITA (Recongnizing Outstanding Women in the Arts) awards for lifetime achievement in the arts for 2012. Sister Diane is also one of the founders of the Linconlville Farmers' Market. Read more about the awards here .

Check out the "Scenes from Mardi Gras 2012" link at the left to see some of the merriment as the Galimore Center in Lincolnville was transformed into Carnival for the first annual "Mardi Gras at the Galimore". Funds rasied will be used to implement WIC (Women, Infants, Children) and other nutrition programs at the Market!!
